Dear Sylvia,

My name is Sophie and I am the daughter of the Howes family from Rutland that bought an english cockerpoo puppy (mother was sophie and father was zac) born on the 13th of February 2009. We named him Alfie and I would just like to let you know that in the 10 months we have had him he has made us very happy and is my best friend. As it is approaching his birthday I thought you might want to see how he has grown up so I made a slideshow of photos.

You can see it at:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56EtCGL_uZo .

If you would like to use any of the photos from the slideshow for your website then let me know and I will email them to you.

I hope you enjoy it and can see how much fun we have had together!

He really is an amazing, gentle and funny dog and we love him very much.

From Sophie, the Howes family and Alfie :)

Hi Sylvia,

Just to let you know that 'Slipper' has settled in really well and is doing fine.  She has grown a lot and has started going to puppy training classes.  She is a very quick learner and already knows sit, leave, down and shake hands.  Jessica is delighted with her as we all are, she is such a sweet natured puppy.

I have attached some recent photos.

No problem!  We had an American Cockapoo from Slyms about 7 months ago (I think!) Cookie is now 9 months old and we wouldn’t be without her!  We chose a Cockapoo because my husband is generally allergic to dogs – he has been fine with Cookie because of her Poodle element!!

Cookie has been tremendous fun – our own experiences from having a cockapoo is that they are extremely sociable and want to be everyone’s friend!  She has a great nature – friendly, fun and happily puts up with some serious man handling from my two young daughters who mother

her all the time! Cookie trained up reasonably quickly –

expect the first few weeks to be a bit messy but she

really didn’t take too long to be house trained.  We

haven’t taken her to dog training classes, although that’s

on the agenda but behaviour generally is good.

From an appearance perspective, the American cockapoo

is adorable and while I am not expert, I consider Slyms to be

a good breeder as everyone has remarked on her quality of

fur, general health, features etc.  You can definitely see

the poodle in her – her hair is curly but her features are quite

teddy bear like because of the spaniel element.

The toy American cockapoo is smaller – Cookie is about 12 inches to her shoulder.  She’s a great size for us!  She has had two haircuts now but much of this is down to personal choice – I like her quite shaggy but you cant let them get too long cause otherwise they are prone to some tangles – I don’t groom that regularly – just enough to keep her knot free!

We hope to get another cockapoo in the future and would certainly return to Slyms.

Kind regards

Amanda

Hi Sylvia,

Thought you might like to see a few pics of Ruby now that she's settled in with us. She was very quiet for the first few days but she is full of fun and cheeky now so I think she feels at home.

She had her 2nd set of jabs and the vet was very impressed with the pack you made up with all her details in it. In fact all my friends who have been to visit were amazed at the pack and all the trouble you took, we were very lucky to have found you as you did a fantastic job.

Ruby is a knockout here, everyone stops to meet her and say hello and I can't tell you how many times I've answered the question "What breed is she?"... those people who've never heard of Cockapoo have a chuckle, but everyone gushes about how gorgeous she is and how pretty and cute and I've even had a few offers to take her!!! She is well loved, not only by her family but all the school kids and mums and other dog owners nearby.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the work

you put in for us and for providing us with such a cutie.

Hope you have a great Christmas

Love from Eileen, Dave, Sam, Ben and of course Ruby x
